Douglas B. Stephens holds a B.A. From Drew University, a Th.M. from Boston university School of Theology, an M.S.W. from Springfield College School of Social Work, an Ed.D. In Counseling from Drake University and a two-year certification from the Consortium for Advanced Training in Psychotherapy and Supervision. He has authored and co-authored book chapters on in-home family treatment with high-risk families, co-authored with David Olsen Ph.D. The Couple’s Survival Workbook (New Harbinger Press), and presented workshops and training events at national conferences around the United States.

Dr. Stephens is currently a field supervisor and adjunct faculty for the Springfield College School of Social Work, as well as a field supervisor for State University of New York at Albany. He previously served as field supervisor for the University of Iowa School of Social Work and as family therapy faculty in the Community Practitioners Program of the Menninger Foundation in Topeka, Kansas.

Dr. Stephens is married and lives in the Glens Falls area. He and his wife have two adult children.
